An identity document programme runs on five components: registration and enrolment, data management, personalization, dispensing and identity authentication. Each is supported by its own hardware and software, and together they carry a document from the moment a citizen applies to every time the document is checked in use.
What each stage needs

At the start of issuance the applicant goes through registration, where biographic and biometric information is collected to establish a unique identity profile. Photo capture is handled by an AI quality system so that portraits meet ICAO 9303 even outside a professional studio.

The data management layer collects, organizes and processes everything related to an application, and decides what is released to production. It is where the programme's records, rules and security live.

The document itself is produced: laser engraving, UV inkjet printing and Multi-Layer Personalization, on machines sized for decentralized offices or centralized bureaus.

A self-service kiosk hands the finished document to its owner, cutting waiting times and removing manual distribution over a counter, with security mechanisms protecting the documents held inside.
