IDmetrix® Personalisation scripting (PS)
Expresses a document’s personalization rules as a script rather than a code change.
Personalisation scripting is how a programme’s own rules reach the production line: which fields print where, which data groups are written, what the chip receives and in what order. A new document version, a new card body, a new chip — all of them are a script change, not a new release of the issuance system.

- APDU script generation
- Scripts for complex chip scenarios — e-Passport applications, banking applications — generated rather than hand-written per project.
- Layout and field mapping
- Cardholder data mapped to layout variables: which database field becomes which printed element.
- Data transformation rules
- Concatenation, truncation, formatting and value mapping applied as the document is composed.
- Conditional logic
- Rules that vary the document by case: document type, applicant category, issuing office.
- Chip file structure configuration
- Application identifiers, keys and access rights configured per card profile and exported to the encoding stage.
- Versioning and audit
- Script versions held under change control, so it is always known which rules produced which document.
