Production
Checks the printed surface and the written chip before the document leaves the line.
Quality Assurance at production is the last gate before a document becomes real. It inspects the printed card, reads the chip back after writing, and compares hashes against the originals. A document that fails here is destroyed; a document that fails after issuance is a security incident.

- Card print quality control
- Resolution and DPI, colour reproduction, photo and text positioning, and print defects such as stripes and spots.
- Chip encoding verification
- Reading back the data written to the chip, comparing hashes, and checking the SOD signature.
- Hash comparison with the original
- Every data group hashed and compared against the values prepared upstream, so a silent write error cannot pass.
- Facial image quality
- The portrait re-validated against ICAO 9303 and ISO/IEC 19794-5 as printed, not only as captured.
- Biographic data validation
- Field-level checks: date format, MRZ check digits, ISO country codes.
- Manual review queue
- Borderline documents routed to an operator on the rejection threshold.
- Quality thresholds and policies
- Acceptance thresholds configured per project and per document type.
- Audit and reporting
- Every check logged — which document, what score, accepted or rejected, by whom — with compliance reporting.
