The MLP ProBook is a fully automatic centralized personalization line for polycarbonate datapage ePassports, built on the Multi-Layer Personalization security process. Booklets are opened, encoded, laser engraved, color printed, quality checked and closed in one industrial-grade pass, with every module controlled from a central computer.

Registered at Every Step
Each module carries its own OCR registration, positioning engraving and printing to ±0.1 mm.
One pass, eight modules
A booklet is fed in at one end and comes out personalized, verified and closed at the other. Each module registers its own position, so every step lands on the page within ±0.1 mm.

Security and color on one datapage
Three laser modules engrave the portrait and data with 256 grey levels and MLI, while 5-color UV printing adds full color to the datapage and to the paper observation page. Four register OCR cameras hold every process to ±0.1 mm, and the QC module verifies the personalized elements before the booklet is closed.
